Where It All Began

Hi, I'm Nathan, the maker behind ApexCraftsCreations.

This whole thing started as a hobby back in 2013. I'd just gotten into 3D printing and was looking for something to do with it beyond the usual brackets and replacement parts. The real spark came a few years later, when my kids needed costumes for the Renaissance faire. Store-bought armor was either too expensive, too flimsy, or didn't fit right, so I figured I'd make something better myself.

I started experimenting with fusing 3D-printed dragon scales onto stretch fabric. The first pieces were rough, but they held up at the faire, looked great on my kids, and were comfortable enough to wear all day. That was the goal, armor that actually moved with you instead of fighting you.

Then people kept asking. Other parents, other cosplayers, friends of friends, where did you get those? Can you make me a set? After enough of those conversations, I started selling on Etsy. That's where Apex Crafts Creations was born.

Every piece you see on this site is designed, printed, assembled, and finished by me personally, here in Colorado. I print in small batches, hand-trim each scale panel, and stitch the ties myself. Nothing is dropshipped, nothing is mass-produced, and I'm the one who answers when you message in.

If you're building a cosplay, gearing up for LARP, headed to the Ren faire, or just want something that makes you feel like the most dramatic version of yourself, I'd love to make something for you. Everything Is Made by Me, Personally

This is not a dropshipping store. There is no warehouse. No outsourced manufacturing. No middleman.

Every single piece sold through ApexCraftsCreations is designed, printed, assembled, and quality-checked by me, by hand, in my own workshop. I fuse 3D-printed dragon scale components onto 4-way stretch fabric, so the armor looks stunning and actually fits and flexes the way armor should. Whether it is a bracer, a set of pauldrons, faulds, or a full hip armor build, each item gets the same personal attention I would give to something I was making for myself.

That hands-on approach is something I am not willing to give up. It is what sets the work apart, and it is what my customers keep coming back for.

From Etsy Roots to ApexCraftsCreations.com

I started selling on Etsy, and it's been a great platform for getting in front of the cosplay, LARP, and Renaissance faire crowd. I earned Star Seller status there, and the shop's still active, if you found me on Etsy first, that's still me on the other end of every order.

But I wanted more. More control over the shopping experience. More room to show the full range of what I make. And more chances to talk directly with the people who actually wear this stuff.
